For some time now, I’ve been debating doing a cake decorating course. I’ve always felt that my cakes look too home grown, too rustic. And so I finally embarked on my class at Wilton.
On day one we torted cakes and filled piping bags, used couplers and made buttercream. In the second half of the day we practised all the new skills we’d learned on our cookies and practice cake.
Today, day 2, we started with a blank canvas – a crumb coated cake.
And by the end of the day, this is what it was transformed into…
I loved these colours.
And I’m looking forward to using all my newly learned skills!
