Study Groups are fun. They are a very interesting way of gathering knowledge and presenting it to a small group of like minded people. The keyword being “small”.

In the process you learn, you research, you hone your skills at power point, but most importantly you learn to tell a story that enthralls your audience. An important requisite for a docent.

The other pluses are, meeting a group that is intelligent without being frighteningly intellectual, travelling across time without Spielberg to guide you and of course the fabulous spread week on week!

Here is my contribution for this week- chocolate cupcakes with a raspberry buttercream frosting.

This week, our two presentations were about Mongolian creation myths and the common theme of Water that runs through the creation myths of most peoples.

Looking forward to next week!
